Rock Hard Greece has announced a special benefit show for the victims of Greece's disastrous fires. The show is scheduled for September 22nd at the Underworld Club (Themistokleous & Gamvetta 5 - Kanigos Square) in Athens, Greece. Participating bands include: CONVIXION, INACTIVE MESSIAH, NEED, REMEMBER LIZZY, SORROWFUL WINDS, WEB.

Rock Hard Greece adds in a press release: "Even if you are not from Greece you probably have heard about the tragic events that took place last couple weeks. Millions of meters of forests burned down, more than 100 villages wiped from the map and way too many human casualties. Greek Rock Hard Magazine organizes a charity concert on order to gather money for all those in pain. We hope to see as many people as possible in the event."

According to NewsBlaze, the inferno that swept Greece killed 66 people, destroying more than 4,000 homes in 110 villages and nearly 500,000 acres of countryside and farmland. Most of the villages I've visited are ghost towns - surrounding lands burnt to the ground with only a few empty houses standing.
