SAGA - Details Of Worlds Apart Revisited CD / DVD Package Revealed
March 17, 2007, 17 years ago
InsideOut will release the highly anticipated Worlds Apart Revisited live CD / DVD package, originally slated for a November 2006 release, on April 23rd. It will be issued in three formats: as a double CD, double DVD, and as a limited edition housed in a slipcase with CDs and DVDs in a lavish cover pack.
According to InsideOut, "the show in Pratteln, Switzerland was picked for the recording on CD and DVD. Cleverly, the band framed all nine ‘Worlds Apart’ songs with long-time live hymns such as ‘Ice Nice’, ‘Humble Stance’ or the indispensable ‘Don’t Be Late’ and more recent ones, but no less fascinating material such as ‘The Runaway’ or ‘Keep It Reel’. Further highlights were songs like ‘No Regrets’ and ‘Scatching The Surface’, both sung by keyboardist Jim Gilmour – of which the latter was only accompanied by piano – as well as more rarely played ones like ‘We’ve Been Here Before’."
The double CD contains the entire live set, while the DVD features the show as well as bonus material. Worlds Apart Road Stories features Saga's band members looking back on the making of the CD / DVD, Live In England 1981 offers five songs originally recorded live for promotional use, and Worlds Apart Revisited Documentary features interviews and live clips from 1982 and 1983. The DVD also contains a photo gallery, background information on the recordings, and a booklet containing the lyrics for all 22 songs featured in the set. The limited edition additionally contains – along the lavish packaging – an enhanced booklet extended to 24 pages.
The tracklist is as follows:
Disc 1. 'The Pitchman', 'Give ‘Em The Money', 'You‘re Not Alone', 'See Them Smile', 'The Runaway', 'Ice Nice', 'On The Loose', 'Wind Him Up', 'Amnesia', 'Framed'.
Disc 2: 'Time's Up', 'The Interview', 'No Regrets', 'Conversations', 'No Stranger', 'Scratching The Surface', 'Keep It Reel', 'We’ve Been Here Before', 'Humble Stance', 'Don’t Be Late', 'How Long', 'Careful Where You Step'.
