On Monday, July 11th SLIPKNOT / STONE SOUR frontman Corey Taylor will take part in a live online chat and read from his new book Seven Deadly Sins - Settling The Argument Between Born Bad And Damaged Good. It will begin at 5:00pm EST / 2:00pm PST. Go to this location to tune in and take part.

As previously reported, That Metal Show’s Jim Florentine recently conducted an in-depth interview with Taylor about his new book, Seven Deadly Sins - Settling The Argument Between Born Bad And Damaged Good, his life, and his music. The conversation premiered on Taylor’s website on July 5th, and much like the book itself, it’s a riveting and personal discussion. Part 1 is available below:

Parts 2 and 3 will air on July 12th, and 19th respectively, each at 5 PM (EST).

Taylor: "I've been threatening to write a book for a long time, but since every Tom, Dick and Harry writes an autobiography, I didn't want to just do that. My approach to writing is the same as my approach to music: I don't want to do what everybody else is doing,"

Taylor has announced three upcoming events in The UK to promote the forthcoming release Seven Deadly Sins, which is due out July 12th via Ebury Press.

Seven Dealy Sins - Settling The Argument Between Born Bad And Damaged Good - is a candid, outrageous manifesto reflecting on the subject and nature of sin.

For the first time, Corey Taylor speaks directly to his fans and shares his worldview about life as a sinner. And Taylor knows how to sin. As a small-town hero in the early ’90s, he threw himself into a fierce-drinking, drug-abusing, hard-loving, live-for-the moment life. Soon Taylor’s music exploded, and he found himself rich, wanted, and on the road. His new and ever-more extreme lifestyle had an unexpected effect, however; for the first time, he began to actively think about what it meant to sin and whether sinning could—or should—be recast in a different light. Seven Deadly Sins is Taylor’s personal story, but it’s also a larger discussion of what it means to be seen as either a “good” person or a “bad” one. Yes, Corey Taylor has broken the law and hurt people, but, if sin is what makes us human, how wrong can it be?
