Earlier this year, the band sat down with music historian Matt Pinfield to discuss “Running Out Of Words” and the new album’s inspiration.
“I think Sons of Silver’s music embodies the spirit and enduring elements of classic rock with a thoroughly modern twist and a flair for critical thinking, which is something the world certainly needs more of right now,” says Pinfield.
Sons Of Silver features vocalist and guitarist Pete Argyropoulos (PeteRG), drummer Marc Slutsky (Splender, Peter Murphy), keyboardist and engineer Brina Kabler, guitarist Kevin Haaland (Skillet), and bassist Adam Kury (Candlebox).
“We are what we eat,” says Kury. “The record is a warning: if we continue down this path, we’re doomed,” adds Argyropoulos. “But if you look at it from a different angle, you’ll see that we share more in common than we realize, even if we focus on what separates us. At its best, rock ‘n’ roll brings us together and celebrates what we have in common.”
Runaway Emotions is Sons Of Silver’s first full-length album, following two EPs—2020’s Doomsday Noises (which placed three songs on the Billboard Active Rock chart) and 2022’s Ordinary Sex Appeal. The album will be released through the band’s own label, 4L Entertainment, and distributed by Universal Music Group’s Bungalow Records.
Collectively, Sons Of Silver’s songs have amassed over 16 million streams and views. Self-produced by the band, the record was mixed by renowned English producer and engineer Tim Palmer, who says, “These guys epitomize the essence of classic alternative rock. Their music is fueled by both power and raw emotion, with genuinely profound lyrics.”
On January 17, the band will kick off a 21-city national tour with Myles Kennedy and Tim Montana.
