Tom Johnston and Pat Simmons of The Doobie Brothers tells the story behind and all time classic rock standard, “Listen To Music”. According to the Professor of Rock: “In the early ‘70s when the song went to #11 (in the US)and put the band on the map it was the perfect song for the times because it came from a trying time in our nations’ history. They wrote it as an afterthought but it would become one of the staples of ‘70s rock radio and we still sing it today.”
