BRET MICHAELS Suffers Eye Injury

The injuries keep coming, but POISON singer Bret Michaels, the Energizer bunny of rock music, keeps on going, and going, and going.
Poison’s frontman says his latest health issue, a corneal ulcer due to infection in his eye, won’t stop him from touring this spring and summer. And it certainly won’t prevent him from performing June 4 at the Verizon Wireless Music Center near Birmingham.
“I’ve learned to laugh through a lot of hard times,” Michaels, 48, said today during a phone interview. “It helps me to stay positive. I also owe my guardian angel a heavy amount of overtime.”“I got a shot in my eye yesterday,” Michaels added. “They numb your eye completely. They don’t even have a remedy for what’s wrong with my eye. They’re using this crazy stuff in my eye that they invented.”
