As previously reported, longtime DORO bassist Nick Douglas is keeping BraveWords.com readers updated on the current European tour, which sees the German Metal Queen on the road with MOTÖRHEAD and GRAND MAGUS.

"December 9th. Chemnitz, Germany: Well, we're six shows in and I guess it's time I should speak of the show itself! First of all, we play a 45 minute set in our support act slot for Motörhead. And so how do we sandwich in the best possible three quarters of an hour show for and artist like Doro with over 14 albums to her credit? Well, it's not easy, we're doing our best and making subtle changes every night. The set includes good old standby's like 'Earthshaker Rock' and 'Burning The Witches' but prior to the tour, we've prepared a few surprises. One being 'Touch Of Evil' from the Warlock album Triumph And Agony, which we've flirted with on a few of the shows. All in all we been firing through the songs, trying to minimize dead time, fitting in all that we can and fortunately, catching approval from the otherwise schrewd Motörhead fans! And going out and speaking to people after our show confirms that. The band is sounding strong and confident and I'm proud of what we do.

Starting December 15th in Bremen, Germany, we'll be playing some of those pre-mentioned surprises when we switch over to our headlining tour, amping up our show to a full 90 minute set (at least!) for an eleven show run that will take us to the end of the year. You can check my MySpace page for those dates and more: Myspace.com/nickdouglasmusic. On a side note, the weather here in Germany has been quite snowy. The roads are not always in optimum driving conditions. As a matter of fact, the crew bus of Motörhead was hit by a sliding car this morning while on the highway but I'm told that everyone is alright!

Ok, it's five in the morning and my insomniac tendencies are starting to give out."

Already out overseas, 25 Years In Rock, the double DVD, single CD live package culled from Doro's December 2008 anniversary show, in her hometown of Dusseldorf, will be released in North America shortly.
