The M'era Luna Festival is an institution in the darkwave and gothic scene and each year attracts up to 25,000 visitors from across Europe to Hildesheim, Germany. According to a press release "on August 8 and 9th, 2009 transforms the airport Hildesheim-Drispenstedt for the tenth time in a big catwalk for extravagant makeup and outfits of velvet and silk and leather and paint - at and above the stage."
