Guitarist BILLY MORRISON Checks In From The Road With BILLY IDOL, Announces Four Dates For Annual Los Angeles CAMP FREDDY X-Mas Residency

Guitarist BILLY MORRISON (BILLY IDOL, CAMP FREDDY) has checked in with the following update:
"I’m typing this as we head out towards the Mountain Winery venue in NoCal, sitting in the front lounge of our bus. The stresses of life and the last few months living in Los Angeles melted away as I sat on the plane, flying 30,000 feet over the Pacific ocean coastline. The thing about touring that makes everything a little easier is that you don’t have to think. About anything. Except what chord comes next. And sometimes it’s just what the doctor ordered. We’re out for a short west coast US run with Billy Idol and it’s been a ridiculous amount of fun getting back into rehearsals with everyone, running through the old set, and adding a bunch of new material to it. What with a cut from the second Generation X album, a track from the Rebel Yell record, and two brand new Idol tracks, it feels lively and new. As cheesy as it sounds, when I get to strap a guitar on and play it in anger in front of a bunch of people, something deep within me is fed and watered. It’s like a need…..an itch that gets scratched……I absolutely love it and I’m still so grateful every time it happens.
I can tell you that Camp Freddy will be returning to The Roxy theater on Sunset Blvd in Los Angeles for the sixth consecutive year this coming December for our annual institution – the Camp Freddy Xmas Residency. This year there will be four shows – Dec 2nd, 9th, 16th and 23rd – and just as in previous years, we will be performing a different set list, with different guests each night. Tickets will be available soon (I believe we will be doing the golden tickets again – all four nights plus a hang at soundcheck, photos etc) but those details will surface in a week or two. For now, get your calendars out and make your plans. Time to make some noise and soundcheck. I’ll be back soon – have a great rest of the week everyone."

As previously reported, SEBASTIAN BACH, MOTÖRHEAD frontman Lemmy Kilmister and Jason Bonham (LED ZEPPELIN EXPERIENCE) were among the guests that joined Camp Freddy on Monday, January 24th at Whisky A Go Go in West Hollywood, CA for a benefit event to create awareness and raise positive vibes in celebration of breast cancer survivor Carolyne Williams.
