According to News-antique.com, one of the most important and influential rock musicians of the twentieth century was, without a doubt, JIMI HENDRIX, known as much for his flamboyant sense of personal style as for his outstanding guitar technique. Now, fans of this iconic star can own an important piece of his personal wardrobe when a pair of his stage-worn fringed boots comes to auction in April.

"In virtually every way imaginable, Jimi Hendrix was, truly, an experience," said Doug Norwine, Director of Music and Entertainment Auctions for Dallas-based Heritage Auction Galleries. "Not only was he one of the greatest and most influential guitarists the world has ever known, but he also created a personal style that influenced a generation. Hendrix spent a considerable amount of time and thought on his appearance, haunting vintage clothing stores looking for interesting items like British military jackets, Trilby hats and, of course, suede fringed boots."
"The boots offered here were worn by Hendrix onstage at Golden Gate Park on June 27, 1967," said Norwine, "mere days after his triumphant performance at the Monterey Pop Festival. They were obtained from Robert Terry, a Jimi Hendrix collector, photographer, and good friend of Jimi's father, Al, and complete photographic documentation is included. For the Hendrix fan or the rock aficionado, it doesn't get much better than this."
"I'd invite anyone interested in this exciting piece of musical history to visit our website at www.HA.com," Norwine said, "where you'll see full-color enlargeable images of every lot in the auction, each accompanied by our complete and informative catalog descriptions. Best of all, as the auction date draws nearer, you'll even be able to place your bids online."

The Jimi Hendrix stage-worn boots will be offered in Heritage's upcoming Music & Entertainment Auction, to be held April 4-6, 2008 in Dallas, Texas.

Estimated value: $20,000 and up.
