Kevin Shirley Finishes Mixing KITTIE Album; May Attend IRON MAIDEN Show In Canada

Producer Kevin Shirley has posted the following update at his official website:
"Finished mixing the KITTIE album yesterday - sent it off to Sterling Sound where Leon Zervos will master it. Everyone's busy - Ted Jensen has just finished mastering the Mooney Suzuki album and Bob Ludwig is busy with the mammoth metal surround sound tracks I mixed earlier his month. And now - ahhhh, a day off! Time to see what's going on with the plumbing, the electrics, the furniture... oh, the joy of domesticity! I think I'm going to go and boogie board under the cold and heavy fog rolling in.Booked a flight to Sao Paulo in October, to see Michael Schumacher's last Formula 1 race, and I'm getting excited (not about the 16 hour economy flight exactly, but I'll see my German buds there!). I think I have a pit pass which is really great!
Means I'll miss the Maiden show at Irvine, but I have been a fan of Schumi's since the beginning, and continue to be, despite his sometime lapses in common sense (but if none of us had brain-farts, we'd be gods!). Maybe I'll go to Canada to see the Godfathers of Heavy Metal! I love those guys...
Saw Chris Robinson last week - I love him - he was staying with me in Paris in 2000 when we were working on the Brave New World album, and he kept me out most nights, frolicking with women and champagne and much more! We even had a wine-glass throwing competition at 3 AM one evening, off my balcony.... oops! I won.... and he slept in the next day as I awoke in a stupor and got to the studio about 3 hours late in an alcoholic haze. But that was the only day - and back then - I am now cleansed (apart from that tequila shot last night - oh, and the sake at dinner, and then a beer!). Chris turns 40 next month!!!!!!! I see debauchery in his future..."
