Chicago based metallers MARAZENE (myspace.com/marazene) will head back into the studio for the months of June and July to commence working on a sophomore effort.

"Pre-production on our second album actually began in January before our Spring tour with MUSHROOMHEAD," multi-instrumentalist and co-founder DieTrich Thrall commented. "Nikk and I have about a dozen songs in development and we have a pretty good idea of where we want to take Marazene on round two. It's been a crazy ride for the past twelve months and we're anxious to get in the studio and squeeze out a pile of Machine Metal before we head back out on the road in the fall."
"We're at the one year mark for MachiNation and we're happy with the reception by friends, fans, and critics alike to both the album and the live show but we're still looking ahead," multi-instrumentalist and co-founder Nikk Skum offered. "We've got a fairly light schedule for June and July and we expect to be on the road from August through November and then back into the studio for however long it takes to make a record that will just totally blow away the first one."

No release date for a second album has been given.

Marazene self released their debut album, MachiNation, on 06.06.06 and completed two National tours with Megaforce Records' Mushroomhead and Pure Records' DEADSTAR ASSEMBLY as well as dozens of Midwestern regional tour dates in support, all under the banner '100% DIY'.

Marazene are currently set to co-headline the Resurrection Of Rock in Fort Dodge, IA on June 30th at the Larmar Ballroom.
