MURDERDOLLS frontman Wednesday 13 recently spoke with FuryRocks.com about the band's new album, Women And Children Last. An excerpt from the interview is available below.

Q: Is there a different approach that you and Joey (Jordison / SLIPKNOT) took to writing Women And Children Last CD vs. Beyond The Valley?

Wednesday 13: "You have to remember that the first Murderdolls CD was done when I was only 25. Those songs were written when Joey and I were in two different bands. It was collaboration between his old band and mine. We took a lot of our songs and revised and rewrote them. It was thrown together and a reflection of use as teenagers. This time around, it’s a different band and a different sound. It more focused and we know what we wanted to do. Its heavy then poppy, then punk- its everything. You can try to label us but you can’t. It goes from MÖTLEY CRÜE to SLAYER."

Q: How do WEDNESDAY 13 (the band) songs differ from Murderdolls songs?

Wednesday 13: Before Murderdolls, I always played this type of music. I don’t know where it comes from but I love it. For my first solo CD, I took the horror thing through the roof and it is mainly me writing everything. With Murderdolls, it’s a true collaboration between Joey and me. A lot of the songs on the new CD couldn’t have turned out as good without either one of us."
