Plastic Head Signs SPV Deal

According to Musicweek.com, independent distributor Plastic Head has agreed a deal with German music company SPV to distribute its Steamhammer, Synthetic Symphony, Oblivion and Red labels in the UK.

The first releases under the deal will be new studio albums from ZODIAC MINDWARP, ANGRA and VIRGIN STEELE on Steamhammer, as well as new COVENANT and FUNKER VOGT albums on Synthetic Symphony.

SPV was established in 1984 and has a back catalogue that includes releases from artists including MOTÖRHEAD, SAXON, TYPE O NEGATIVE, DIO and THE MISSION.

SPV general manager Frank Uhle says he looks forward to working with a company “that totally understands our artists and repertoire.”
