DailyEcho.co.uk has issued the following report from John Hoskins:

A rock fan was repeatedly punched in the face during a violent row at a concert by American star ALICE COOPER in Southampton, a court heard.

John Lynch and his ex-wife had settled into their seats in the balcony at Southampton Guildhall and were listening to a warm up act when the violence flared, it was alleged.

The court heard that Andrew Miller had drawn attention to himself by removing his shirt, sitting bare chested, and then removing his artificial leg which he put alongside him.

Mr Lynch, a service manager who works with the disabled, described how he and his former wife were watching the support band when stocky built Miller, wearing leathers, came along the balcony shouting and whooping.

He sat down but got up two or three times and took off his leather jacket.
