According to Perthnow.com.au, the SCORPIONS are set to rock former Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev like a hurricane at his 80th birthday concert in London on March 30th at the Royal Albert Hall.

The German band's huge 1990 hit 'Wind Of Change' was massively popular in Russia during Gorbachev's presidency and the dissolution of the Soviet Union. A Russian-language version of the power ballad was even released.

Tickets went on sale in November with price tags ranging from £35 ($56) per seat to £100,000 ($160,000) per VIP suite.

Organisers estimated that £5 million (nearly $8 million) of the concert's proceeds would be donated to charity.
