Swedish folk metallers SKALD check in with the following update:

"First and foremost, we are sorry for the extremly long delay in both website and news.

Ever since we started the band, we have tried to get our hands on the adress skald.se and this October, we finally did it. We also felt that it was useless to put a website online had we not had anything interesting to report. And trust me, we didn't until now...

David (guitar) and Henrik (vocals) are finally located in the same city once again, and this move has made it a lot easier to focus on Skald once more. The upcoming full-length will be entitled Vitterland (meaning Witherland in English) and will probably be released sometime during 2010.

The reason it has taken so long time, and will take even more, is mostly because we decided early on that the new songs should be 100% stronger and better than anything we've ever done before. We also decided that there would be 10 songs on the record - no more, no less.

Asa result of this, we have made a couple of songs that didn't make it on to the final product. This is something we've never done before but we felt that we, as a band couldn't stand behind these songs 100%.

But now we are all done and what you see below is the final title and final tracklist. More news will follow shortly.
