POISON - Live Raw & Uncut

Filmed August 2nd, 2007 at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in St. Louis, Missouri and originally broadcast Halloween ’07 on HDNet, Poison’s Live Raw & Uncut is now available exclusively at Best Buy in the US. Prior to the cameras rolling, vocalist Bret Michaels said he wanted “a sweaty, in your face rock ‘n’ roll show” and that’s exactly what he got. Poison parties their way through 17 songs – four of which are covers pulled from their Poison’d disc released that same year. Coincidentally, those are omitted from the live CD included in this package. While this concert marks the 21st anniversary of Poison, the set list omits the band’s most recent studio album Hollyweird completely. In the “oops” department, the photographs used on the back cover and in the accompanying booklet are from a completely different concert as in those, Bret’s right hand is in a neon green cast, which is nowhere to be seen on your television screen and Rikki Rockett is playing a completely different drum kit. Nevertheless, Live Raw & Uncut debuted at #8 on Billboard’s Top Music Chart and serves as the coolest souvenir from what has become a summer tradition – seeing Poison rock outdoor sheds across North America. The show itself may not change much from year to year, but one thing’s for sure, you’re guaranteed ‘Nothing But A Good Time’.
