UK rockers DEF LEPPARD have issued the following update:

"A special support act has just been added to the bill for the band's show in Victoria, BC (September 28) - before Def Leppard will take the stage, the audience will first be treated with a rare performance by supergroup ROCKO AND THE DEVILS.

Who are Rocko and The Devils then, you may ask? Well, it is what some people would call a 'crew band'. During JOURNEY's 2002 Under The Radar tour, the main act needed an opening band and called on their stage manager Rocko Reedy. The very next day, Rocko came up with a band -- his own! With fellow crew members Scott Appleton (guitar), Jim Handley (drums) and Brent Jeffers (keyboards) and Jeffro Hannah (bass), Rocko's supergroup opened for Journey a number of times across America, playing a short set of classic rock hits.

A few years later, when Rocko was U2's stage manager on the Vertigo tour, the band's big break came in 2006 when they opened for U2 and PEARL JAM at the last show of the tour at Aloho Stadium in Honolulu, Hawaii, for an audience of 40,000 people. By now, the band had decided to call themselves Rocko And The Devils and bass duties were taken care of by Larry O'Connor.

Fast-forward a few months and now Rocko, Jeffro and Scott are all part of Def Leppard's crew. And why not give them another shot at fame and fortune by letting Rocko And The Devils warm up the audience in Victoria, BC, a few minutes before Def Leppard will take the stage?
