Lee recently spoke with Fuse and commented being on tour with on Halestorm: "It's cool to have another female on the road. Not just because it inspires me musically — because it does — it makes me feel this sort of pride and, 'Yeah, go get 'em' when I see a chick rocking. Also, Lzzy's really down to earth. I'm looking forward to hanging out and getting some girl time in."

This past spring, Halestorm made history by becoming the first-ever female-fronted band to reach No. 1 on the active rock radio airplay chart with its single 'Love Bites (So Do I)'.

The song is featured on Halestorm’s second full-length album, The Strange Case Of . . . — a project that Hale found satisfying.

“We put a lot of ourselves into our sophomore record, and the result was something very organic,” Hale said. “We weren’t thinking about what anyone else wanted it to sound like. We fought to make it our own way.”

That fighting spirit has attracted thousands of followers, encouraging Hale and her fellow bandmates to keep doing what they love.

“It’s very moving when you get physical, handwritten letters from people because you know what they’re expressing is coming from the heart,” Hale said. “One of the biggest things I’ve learned is that the fans inspire us, and I’m happy to represent them through our music.”
