San Francisco-based metallers INACAGE have issued the following update:

"1.Stephanie (Vargas, drums/guitar) still needs a double bass pedal. lol No worries. No rush. No claim to fame. All in due time.

2. 'The Exorcist' will be bumped off the play list soon enough and replaced with the next song we are in the middle of recording along with a handful others that are also ready to go.

3. Recordings are the same old same old. Why spend money on professional studio recordings during a time when the economy is about to get significantly worse? We have bills.

4. Why take time off of work to go on tour to play dives that will just pay chump change anyways? Calculations point to breaking even after it is all said and done and would be only doing it for fun. We have fun here at home in a part of the world that is arguably the best place on earth. At least weather wise despite the expense it costs to live here. If we lose our valued jobs then perhaps this outlook will change but for the time being we are staying put. One of the luxuries of not being signed and not having to be tied down to any obligations. ;)

5. Will still play out locally. In fact, we already have.

6. Promoting on MySpace is a joke. In fact, trying to make it in the music industry is almost completely pointless. Even friends of ours who are signed and/or have made it at some point arent making anything right now. Almost more trouble than it is worth.

7. What defines success? Well, having the best band mate to work with like we have is the best. We wouldnt trade what we have for any popular band that has had international success and yet hated being around each other who now just have memories of what once was. We will never be past tense as long as we are alive."
